The Immortal Rules Review

The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden, #1)
**4 Stars**

MY OVERVIEW: As always, Julie Kagawa weaves a fantastic tale. This book is filled with vampires and zombie vampires. It is a fantastic story of hope and of never giving up.

PROS: Allison’s character was written beautifully. She is such a strong character and one who just keeps pushing on, no matter what is thrown at her. I think my favorite character though is Caleb. He is so young and innocent and he brings a different light to the book. Zeke is amazing as well, and is one of those people who is always helpful and almost always cheerful no matter what he has seen.

CONS: There aren’t too many cons in this book. It wasn’t a quick read like I am used to with the author’s books, but I really didn’t mind. I think one con I had was that I would have liked to have seen more of Kanin. I think there should have been a little bit more background on him, but maybe she is saving that for the next book.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS: I really enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book in the series.

  1. I've been meaning to add this to list. I love vampire books and I've read one of her books before. Great review. :)

    1. Thanks. It was really good and a somewhat more traditional take on vampires which is nice since I am a big Buffy fan. :)
